Civilian Studios offers an array of private studio space options to artists and small business owners. A fully equipped Wood Shop is available to current tenants for an additional monthly fee too. The building is closed to the general public but is accessible 24/7 to all our members.

WELCOME
Since 2012 Civilian Studios has provided private creative workspaces to artists of various mediums. The private units range in size from 150 - 400 square feet with an average cost of about $350 per month.
Our rental rate includes utilities (gas heat, electric, water) and high speed wifi. There is a basin mess sink in the shared kitchen, plus a secure outdoor area, perfect for catching some sun or applying coats of spray paint.
Current members can access our fully equipped wood shop for an additional monthly fee of $175.

WHO WE ARE
Civilian Studios was established in 2012 by two strangers who shared one common need - affordable working space. As they watched their artist community in an Inner South East warehouse building unravel, they decided to take the idea and make it better. With a handful of artists from that space and a building owner who believed in them, Ashley & Jeremy were able to establish Civilian Studios LLC.
GETTING HERE
Our building is tucked in an industrial neighborhood sandwiched between Interstate Ave and the train tracks.
VIA PUBLIC TRANSIT
We are a one minute walk from the Albina/Mississippi MAX station on the yellow line.
BY CAR OR BIKE
We are just a few minutes from downtown Portland, right off Interstate Ave just north of Tillamook St. There is parking available out front.
